Description

Welcome to the twelfth episode of the fourth season of the Perseverance Podcast. This is where you will hear the story of Coach Chuck, a man who was born with a passion for basketball. Growing up near Detroit, Chuck found the sport was a way to push himself to greatness but didn’t see that it was also an area of crippling pride. Unfortunately, Chuck also hid his weakness for alcohol starting in high school. Hear how Chuck struggled through college and bounced around to numerous jobs while trying to feed his hidden drug and alcohol addiction. Chuck’s one constant through the years was basketball; the court was where Chuck went to feel free. But Chuck was anything but free from substance abuse that lasted through a failed marriage and decades of AA meetings. Listen to Chuck’s story about finally surrendering it all to Christ. After hearing Chuck’s story of embracing humility and daily fighting his addictions, I hope you too can feel encouraged to persevere as you go through your own difficult experiences.
