Jackson High School senior Zymiria Powell finished in the top eight of the Alabama Distinguished Young Women State Program last weekend in Montgomery. Powell, 18, has received 0,850 in scholarship money and is the first Clarke County DYW to place in the top eight at the state level since 2010.
