This week Debbie and Gerry talk with Nicholas Walz , a musical artist and creator based in Boston, MA. Originally from Minnesota, he began learning the guitar at age 8 and began writing his own music at age 10. Nicholas wears many hats in the music industry as an arranger, producer, writer, musician, engineer, instructor, and recording artist. Although fingerstyle guitar is his specialty, his music ranges from folk and jazz to contemporary Christian and soft rock. He is passionate about giving back his gifts through leading worship at churches across the US, having opened with a band for Phil Wickham and showcased songs for the team at Bethel church. His love for the guitar has given him the opportunities to play with Tommy Emmanuel, Brooks Robertson, Berta Rojas, Guy van Duser, and countless others. Nicholas currently studies Contemporary Writing and Production at Berklee College of Music–his second music degree–and will be graduating in 2023.
