Welcome to the fourth episode of Patrons and Partnerships, presented by the Library Partnership Branch of the Alachua County Library District.
In celebration of National Bike Month, our guest today is Dekova Batey, the Coordinator for Gainesville's Department of Mobility Bicycle/Pedestrian Program. Dekova is a lifelong resident of Gainesville and a dedicated cyclist who has directed the Bicycle/Pedestrian Program for 20 years. In this episode, he covers the purpose of the Bicycle/Pedestrian Program, their accomplishments over the years, and some of the little-known services they provide, like group bicycle trainings.
