In the church we often talk about RECOVERY.
Defined: Returning to a normal state of health, mind, or strength – the process of regaining control.
While we don’t always use the word recovery and we may define it a bit different than a 12-step program might. The fact remains that many of the stories in the Bible have a theme or at least a thread of “recovery” mixed in.
God has made a way for us – to recover – when we miss the mark, when we come up short, when we fall.
But there is a better way for the Christian. Something Better Than Recovery (from a FALL).
Jud 1:24-25 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, (25) To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
If you want something better than recovery - try this:
· Seek Direction from God.
· Seek a deeper relationship with God by following the direction.
· Seek to maintain humility and submission – whenever you want to do something different.
