I have heard so many Christians down on themselves for their lack of perfection.
While the Bible does in fact declare that scripture has been given to us for the purpose of perfection.
Perfection does not come in an explosion. We do not get “blown” into new depths of Christianity so much as we get “grown” into new depths of Christianity.
While many things will not be perfected in this life. We can still strive for better.
Gal 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Php 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, (14) I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Php 1:3-6 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, (4) Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, (5) For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; (6) Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
