Pro 3:9-10 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: (10) So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.
A tithe – when you present 10% of your increase, to the church, as unto the Lord. You receive an increase of $1,000 and you bring $100 as a tithe. The FIRST $100 – not the last or the MAYBE $100 if it is left over after I do all that I want to do.
A gift or offering – is when you, release something you control to someone else. Not out of obligation, but because you are moved or because you choose to do so.
It is OK – if a tithe or gift feels like it cost you something.
