Divine discipline is the divinely-ordered corrective action through which God motivates His children to turn away from sin and/or to identify, & to return to the post salvation spiritual life. A major part and reason for divine discipline, therefore, is to motivate the believer to learn of, repent of, confess, and forsake sin.
