What is gratitude? What does gratitude do for your brain chemically? Gratitude is an authentic wholehearted feeling of thankfulness between two subjects. That means receiving and giving thanks. Rather than making a list of things you are grateful for, to create natural happy chemicals in your brain, AKA serotonin, there needs to be an emotional connection with gratitude. Try this: three times a week, write down a story (narrative) of an authentic give and thanks interaction and how it feels to observe or experience it. This narrative can even help with inflammation in your body, which is why and how your mind can heal your body.
