For too many of us, we think that God gives us His Commandments so that we can know how to get Him to love us. If we obey God enough, we think, then He’ll save us. But that’s not the case. God first saves us and then He gives us His Commandments. They aren’t there to get Him to love us, they are there because He loves us and wants what is best for us.
