This week's guest is Shonte Mills, a proud graduate of Tennessee State University. She continues our theme of family for the month of August. She's the cousin of of our very own, Coach E and a veteran of working behind the scenes in the sports industry. Of course when there's family in the house, we get some good stories for our "Gettin' to Know Coach E" segment. (05:19). From there, Shonte begins to tell about her journey that would lead her to accepting the scholarship offer from a historically black college and university over the offer from the bigger name of Ohio State University (21:02). That led us into a spirited debate of whether the top black athletes should strongly consider attending a HBCU over a power conference school (24:39).
This week, Coach E changes it up for his post game word as he ends this pod with a dedication to his grandfather, the late Willie Frank Evans, Sr. (1:07:01).
