We have another special pod lined up for you. Our very first guest is none other than Christian Wise Smith (@wiseupwisesmith). The former assistant district attorney of Fulton County in Georgia and author of the new children’s book, “Chris and Key Go Vote!”, joins us. He’s a close friend of Coach E so it’s only right that in our Gettin’ To Know Coach E segment that he explains how that friendship started while sharing some other stories from their days in college (3:00). Christian explains the motivation behind writing a children’s book about the right to vote (17:54). He discusses how does he continue the momentum after making waves with his run for district attorney, his takeaways from the campaign trail and how we can better educate ourselves on what’s on our ballots (29:38). From there, the coaching staff comes together to roundtable their thoughts on how sports and politics are intertwining with one another (42:38).
