Description

"Good vibes only" it's a red flag for toxic positivity.

I know it may sound controversial, but have you ever thought that people who say they are positive tend to be a bit toxic? Phrases like "man up" or "woman up," "get over it," "just be positive" often serve to shame people for not having a positive attitude or solely minimize their feelings.

Allow yourself to cry, allow yourself to get angry, allow yourself to feel stressed or confused because life is not perfect. Many times we need to feel to grow and find happiness. We do not always have to be smiling all the time. We should not hide our emotions or pretend something we are not because we are human and feelings make us feel alive.

In this episode, I want you to understand that it is okay not to be okay all the time.

Are you a person with toxic positivism? Do you know how to deal with these types of people? Learn all this in today's episode.

Clutch a cup of coffee or a glass of wine because more than a teaching is a conversation between you and me. Enjoy!

EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS

It is when people maintain a positive mindset no matter how bad the situation is.

Many times we do not know how to help others when they are going through a difficult time. We want to help them feel better but, many times it doesn't work, and it is because we do not take the time to put ourselves in their shoes.

Not allowing yourself to feel negative feelings can take you away from personal growth.

We can all suffer from toxic positivity without knowing it. In this segment, I share with you some of the signs.

The best way to avoid this is by changing the way we communicate with others. Let's change "be positive" to "there's a lot that can go wrong but, what can go right?" and in this way, we will help others better.
