When I think of the men and women who spurred on the civil rights movement, I don’t always go right to Martin Luther King jr or Rosa Parks. A lot of times I think of a 14-year-old kid, who had his entire life ahead of him, but instead of getting to live that precious life, his life was taken from him. And he unintentionally became one of the most famous names synonymous with the civil rights movement. I am speaking of course about Emmett Till and how this young boy became a catalyst for change.
