A Floresville woman has received a sentence of 15 years for tampering with evidence and two years for abuse of a corpse, bringing closure to a case which began in 2022. Shandi DeHoyos, 44, and Ferman Chavez, 47, of Floresville were arrested in March 2022 in connection with the fatal shooting of Minerva “Mickey” Rodriguez in Hobson. According to 81st Judicial District Attorney Audrey Gossett Louis, law enforcement received information in June 2022 that DeHoyos was attempting to dispose of Rodriguez’s remains.
