The intersection of Chihuahua and Seguin streets (F.M. 775) in downtown La Vernia has reopened. According to La Vernia police Chief Donald Keil, a work crew arrived late Monday afternoon, Jan. 19, to evaluate the situation, after a vehicle clipped a communications pole at the intersection Friday evening, across from La Vernia City Hall. The city barricaded the intersection in all directions, re-routing traffic around the downed pole, which posed a danger to traffic and pedestrians.
