THOMASVILLE — The long-awaited Wendy’s restaurant in Thomasville officially opened its doors this week with a full schedule of community events, special deals and a celebration honoring local veterans. The grand-opening week began Monday and runs through Saturday featuring daily giveaways and promotions. Tuesday’s celebration included a ribbon cutting ceremony and free breakfast for all veterans. The event drew a large crowd that included the Thomasville Middle School cheer squad, local veterans, Mayor Sheldon Day, mascots Wendy and Nerdle, Wendy’s corporate members and community supporters.
