On Friday, February 13, from 8am-2pm, the Prescott Valley Police Department will partner with Bradshaw Mountain Middle School and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety to host a DUI Assembly to showcase the dangers of alcohol and drug use and operating a motor vehicle.

During the assembly, multiple emergency response vehicles will be staged outside Bradshaw Middle School, located at 12255 E. Turquoise Cir., Dewey. Students will participate in activities where individuals affected by alcohol use will share their stories, and officers will discuss experiences from calls related to drugs and alcohol. Officers will also engage with students to help strengthen positive relationships within the community.

This event is part of an ongoing commitment to educating local youth about the dangers of impaired driving and the lasting effects that preventable drunk driving accidents have on a community, as well as individuals within the community.

Prescott Valley Police Department can be contacted at 928-772-9267 for non-emergencies, and 911 for emergencies. Yavapai County Silent Witness is 1-800-932-3232.
