We have spent over a year talking about our mission as followers of Jesus; to make disciples of all nations. Jesus commanded us to give to others all of the gifts, teaching, encouragement, life, hope, and generosity that God has given us, to teach others what God has taught us. But what does it mean to be a disciple? If you are to make disciples of others, how do you make sure you are becoming a disciple yourself? A disciple is someone who can: strengthen themselves in the LORD, manage their household, and make disciples. We will explore all three of these, but this week we will focus on the first one. It comes from the life of David. Join me as we dive into his story to find out more about how God wants us to strengthen ourselves in the LORD.
