Description

In this continuing study I take a look at the Rapture Doctrine. Is this a Pre-Trib, as taught in most mainstream Churches are do Christians go through the Tribulation Period? I compare Thessalonians to Matthew 24 along with Revelation. I venture into Paul’s writings to explore what he has to say, along with what Yahweh says in Ezekiel. I also ask the listeners to grab a pencil and paper as we create charts for comparison as we get deeper into this study.
In this Part 43 I continue our study in this Matthew 24 verse 30. I do q recap of the 3 questions asked by the Disciples to Yahshua Messiah.
Take note that there is NOT ONE VERSE that we covered so far that describes a Pre-Trip Rapture!
30        appear = ‘fah-ee-no’ shine forth.

Then shall appear the sign of the Son of man = Can we picture to ourselves what this sign shall be?

The sign of the Son of man = The “evidence” that he is coming to destroy the city of Jerusalem, where that 2 beast has set up the third Temple. It is not to be denied, however, that this description of the sign of the Son of man is compelling also to his coming at the Day of Judgment.

Then shall all the tribes of the earth = It lies in the nature of the case, that the “tribes” are those who have done evil, and who therefore dread the coming of the Judge.

And they shall see the Son of man = The Lord Yahshua Messiah coming to judgment. Probably this refers more directly to his coming at the last day, though it may also mean that the “evidence” of his coming to destroy Jerusalem will then be seen.

they shall see. Greek. opsomai. ‘opsomai’  is used as the Future of ‘horao’, and has regard to the object presented to the eye, and to the subject which perceives, at the same time.  It denotes, not so much the act of seeing, but the state and condition of the one to whose eye the object is presented. Therefore, to truly comprehend!

horao  = to perceive with the eyes.  It is used to bodily sight, and with special reference to the thought as to the object looked at.

In the clouds of heaven = He ascended in a cloud, Acts 1:9. He shall return in like manner, Acts 1:11. “The clouds of heaven” denote not the clouds in heaven, but the clouds that appear to shut heaven, or the sky, from our view.

These words are exactly has Paul writes in 1 Thess. 4:13-18, where we know that these clouds are those saints dressed in their white righteous robes.
Act 1:9  And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
Psa 24:7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

Psa 47:5  Elohim is gone up with a shout, Yahweh with the sound of a trumpet.

With power = Power, manifest in the destruction of Jerusalem, by the wonders that preceded it, and by the overturning of the temple and city.
Great glory = The word “glory” here means the visible display of honor and majesty. This glory will be manifested by the manner of his coming Matthew 26:64, by the presence of the angels Matthew 25:31, and by the wonders that shall attend him down the sky.

Don’t end up like those in Hosea 4:6 ‘My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God (Elohim), I will also forget thy children.’

But, be like those in 2Timothy 2:15 ‘Study to shew thyself approved unto God (Yahweh), a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.’
