In this week’s study, I continue in Chapter 13 beginning with verse 13.
 The Result of the "War in Heaven" as regards the Earth at large.

The one from the Sea (verses -1-10). 
 The other from the Earth (verses 11-18).

We now begin in this Chapter 13. I personally find this chapter 13 most interesting. I believe that this chapter 13 shows us what we can expect during this period of The Wrath of Satan. Matter of fact we will be creating another chart showing this Wrath of Satan. So follow along as we Unravel this chapter 13!!!!!

In our last study I closed out with the apostle John warning us of the spiritual seduction and blasphemous counterfeits of the many antichrists that will pave the way for the final antichrist that will occur in what he calls “the last hour,” 1 John 2:18.  Chapter 4 and verse 1 he warns us to test these false teachers who are influenced by demonic spirits. And in verse two of that chapter we see that that test must apply to their teaching regarding the Lord Yahshua Messiah.  He says:

1Jn 4:1  Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of Yahweh: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
1Jn 4:2  Hereby know ye the Spirit of Yahweh: Every spirit that confesseth that Yahshua Messiah is come in the flesh is of Yahweh:
1Jn 4:3  And every spirit that confesseth not that Yahshua Messiah is come in the flesh is not of Yahweh: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 

            Now we see the connection between the first and second beast. The second beast speaks with the same authority as the first beast (and that authority was given to the first beast by Satan according to verse 2). The role of the second beast is to lead people in worship of the first beast, Antichrist. Verse 8 said that the world will worship Antichrist, and this worship is orchestrated by the False Prophet.

13.       great signs = i.e. miracles. Here is more information about why people will be so astonished and willing to worship Antichrist. They are witnessing miracles! People (including many professing Christians) shall be captivated by miracles, and those who care more about miracles than they do about sound doctrine shall be deceived.
so that = so great that.
maketh fire = Greek, “maketh even fire.” This is the very miracle, which the two witnesses perform, and which Elijah long ago had performed; this the beast from the bottomless pit, or the false prophet, mimics. 

So this will be his con. 

14.   deceiveth them that dwell on the earth = the earthly-minded, but not the elect. 
by the means of those miracles = rather as Greek, “on account of (because of; in consequence of) those miracles.
which he had power to do = Greek, “which were given him to do.”
in the sight of the beast = “before him” (verse 12).

15.       he = the second beast. Greek, “it was given to him.”
To give breath to it = (dounai pneuma autēi). Pneuma here has its original meaning of breath or wind like pneuma zōēs (breath of life) in Rev. 11:11.
speak = “False doctrine will give a spiritual, philosophical appearance to the foolish apotheosis of the creaturely personified by Antichrist”
