Will my kids be weird if I homeschool them? Or will they be friendless geeks? Will the only way they will be able to hold a conversation is to quote lines from Napoleon Dynamite? Socialization and homeschool is one of the most asked questions when it comes to homeschool.
I wanted to talk about homeschool and socialization. it doesn't matter how long it has been around, or how many people have done it successfully. This is still the number one question that a lot of parents still have. You know what that's ok. Since it is a burning questions, let's talk about it.
I am second generation homeschooler. No, I've never seen Napoleon Dynamite…although I hear it is hilarious. I do have 6 kids that I am currently homeschooling, they are 2-16. From my own experience, I can say that I have not grown up to be a friendless geek. My kids have not grown up to be friendless geeks either. There is a lot of involvement.
There is so many issues that my kids don't deal with because they aren't in school. Listen to the episode for the rest of the things we don't need to deal with and how we socialize and homeschool.
