Description

Murad is the Chief Product and Technology Officer for OTOZ Mobility which provides business to business white label technology solutions for new mobility.

Otoz is a start up wholly owned and backed by Netsol, one of the most established technology players globally in the traditional asset finance and leasing market.

Murad is spearheading OTOZ Mobility product and platform strategy as its co-founder and CPTO. His mission is to revolutionise the car buying and ownership experience by building out the right blend of online and offline experiences within the OTOZ platform.

Before joining NETSOL, Murad led Fintech and Disruptive technologies for Capital Markets in Deloitte and was part of several innovative initiatives with MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore), FCA (UK) and tier-1 Banks / Asset Managers around leveraging Blockchain technology, Analytics and Open APIs.

His work on Blockchain featured in the World Economic Forum report - ‘The future of financial infrastructure – study on how blockchain will disrupt financial services’. The RegTech Book (published July 2019) showcased his work on ‘Market Surveillance’ and he was also the key contributor to the first ever playbook on Open APIs produced for the Association of Banks in Singapore and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Murad has also launched and scaled B2B and B2C products in senior product roles and as a co-founder for startups and established tier-1 financial companies globally.

I first met Murad in 2019 when my team and I were working with Fair.com the California subscription start up and it was a pleasure to get to know more about him as we recorded this episode.

In our conversation we talk about his upbringing in Pakistan, moving to the UK and having to adapt to a more open culture, discovering a passion for solving problems and wanting to have an impact in the world and how by continuing to adapt and evolve he has been able to combine his engineering skills, consulting skills and entrepreneurial spirit on his career journey so far whilst not losing sight of other factors that need to be taken care of.

It was a pleasure for me to get to know Murad so much better as a result of this conversation and in sharing it like this I'm pleased to be able to help you to get to know him better too. I look forward to hearing your feedback.

This episode of Career-view Mirror is brought to you by Aquilae.

Aquilae exists to close the gap between actual performance and available performance in the mobility industry, internationally.

Every individual, every team, every organisation has a level of performance that is available to them right now and typically a lower level of performance that they are actually experiencing. We call the gap between the two levels of performance, the underperformance gap. Our Aquilae Performance Model recognises the four fundamental contributors to performance and helps you identify how to get closer to your available performance and close that underperformance gap.
