DES MOINES, Iowa — The Iowa Wild has signed former Luverne High School standout Jaxon Nelson. Iowa Wild general manager Matt Hendricks made the announcement official on Friday, Dec. 26. This is a two-way contract from the remainder of the 2025-26 season, Hendricks said. Iowa is an affiliate with the National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild. Nelson, a forward, scored once and had an assist in seven games with the Iowa Wild while on a professional tryout contract (PTO).
