Welcome back to Livin on the El-Ledge, the show within the Sober Vibes Podcast where my sister Kimberly Elledge and I talk openly about the real, raw, and sometimes uncomfortable parts of recovery.

In this episode, we’re discussing something that isn’t often talked about but needs to be — the 13th step in Alcoholics Anonymous. We’re shining a light on the predators who take advantage of newly sober people in the program and the harm it causes.

Both of us have participated in AA at different points in our sobriety journeys, and this conversation doesn’t come from a place of judgment but from love and protection for the community. Our intention is to raise awareness, encourage boundaries, and remind people that they deserve safety and respect in recovery spaces.

Sobriety is sacred. You don’t owe anyone your trust, your time, or your body, especially when you’re healing.
