In episode 23 of the Sober Vibes Podcast, I’m talking about something that almost everyone experiences in early sobriety: the sweet tooth that shows up once alcohol is gone. Yep, we’re getting real about sugar cravings, weight changes, and why your body is reacting this way.

Here’s the truth: you have to choose your hard. If it means grabbing a cupcake instead of a cocktail, that’s a win. Your body and brain are adjusting, and it’s totally normal to crave sugar as you detox from alcohol.

I share my own experience with sugar cravings, how long they lasted, and what helped me find balance again. I also remind you that you don’t have to tackle everything at once. Nutrition and fitness can come later. Right now, give yourself permission to heal.

Be kind to yourself. The cravings fade, your body resets, and the freedom that follows is worth every sweet moment
