I recorded this week’s episode on April 21, the day Derek Chauvin was found guilty on 3 charges for murdering George Floyd in May 2020. ‘I can’t breathe’ is the infamous phrase that so many black people have used when arrested and have tragically died as a result of deliberate force by law enforcement. Momentarily, afro Americans can 'breathe' but systemic racism in America is undoubtedly rampant.
In this episode, I explore what institutionalised means and how ‘being institutionalised’ has affected my life and others.
