For the most part the Church of God is in a nonbiblical spiritual mess! There is a lot of 'church' stuff going on...and yet, there is not much biblical Truth being taught. At least, nothing much beyond the third-grade thinking and processing level. This is not a new 'problem' with God's people. In the Old Testament the Lord quite often had to discipline His children for refusing to learn His commandments...and then to do as He said. And for the most part...today's Church is doing the same thing. Many Believers today just do NOT know their Scriptures very well. And because of that, there is a lot of false teachings (i.e. 1/2 truths and non-church age doctrines) flowing from the pulpits and the pews these days. It seems to me that many of God's people today are content believing whatever seems right in their own eyes....AND/OR...believing whatever makes them 'feel good' about their 'relationship' with God. And sadly, all this non-biblical, self-centeredness has caused many Believers to 'drift away' from the sound doctrines of God's written Word for the Church.
