I've been a serious-minded (that means that I'm in my right mind) Bible DOER...and not just a Bible 'talker' for over 40 years! I have been striving to walk with the Lord (according to His Word) (not perfectly but persistently) for all those 40-plus years. I find it numb-minding to see (i.e. talk to or listen to) so many of God's people not really interested in knowing (i.e. receiving) the Truths of Scriptures! It's shocking to see so many Believers diligently (but blindly) adhere to (and push and promote) teachings that are just not biblically true. And what's doubly shocking, is that time after time, I find that most of these biblically 'drifting' Believers aren't even interested in accepting biblical Truths when they are shared with them!
This series topic is primarily about the sins which so easily entangle God's people. And what I just shared (about many of God's people being unteachable and unbiblical (in their walk) is a way for a Believer to be entangled in sin...and not really see it!
Brethren, it's not just a sin to ignore God's biblical Truths for the Church Age. It's just as much a sin to teach and profess things to be 'of the Lord' when they're not, regardless if you're sincere or not!
For the most part, the people in the Church of the Living God are a biblical 'mess'! Most of God's children don't know anything beyond maybe a 2nd or 3rd grade spiritual level! And many of those Believers who say that they're zealous for the things of the Lord...are 'far' from the Lord because they live their spiritual lives thru their feelings and/or their fleshly minds.
It one thing to know (and accept) that you're a child of God who easily get entangles in sin. But it's a much more 'difficult' thing to be entangled in sin...and not even see it! I would love to spend just one day with the Believer who (foolishly) thinks that they 'got' 'victory' over their sinful flesh when they got born-again!
