It's sad to hear so many Spirit indwelt Believers being so biblically ignorant about even some of the basic Truths of God's written Word. Any true born-again Believer who has even a 'decent' understanding of the sound doctrines of God's written Word (for His Church) sees for themselves that there is a lot un (Bible) smart, un (Bible) wise Believers out there in Christendom. I'm not saying that to boast! It's an obvious fact. Now, the Lord knows that I know that I am far from being the 'sharpest spiritual tool in the (Bible) shed'! AND YET, even at my spiritual 'level'...I am biblically 'sharp enough' to know many of the Truths of God's written Word.
I see and hear the near total lack of biblical discernment whenever I talk directly to, or listen to Bible teachers. Oh, there is a Remnant out there who get it! However, they are far and few between! Many Believers in the Church of the Living God just don't know how to use their brains to figure out the Truths of God's written Word. And sadly...IF it wasn't for the 'minced up, pureed' spiritual baby food that these baby Believers get 'fed' (with a baby bottle) on Sunday mornings...the Believers would be 'dropping like flies' from total spiritual starvation!
