Speaking the Truth in Love! Those words used to mean something significant and substantial to Bible Believers! The thought of being confronted (with Truth of Scriptures) used to be enough to 'put' the 'fear of God' in people...which in turn 'moved people' to get 'right' with the Lord! Not today! Today those same life-altering words have 'morphed' into meaning; speak 'soft and gentle' (words (to Believers)) because after all...you don't want to offend them...even IF it IS God's Word!
God knows that the Churches of the Living God need more shepherds who are going to command...not just teach or suggest...BUT COMMAND that God's people BETTER OBEY the Lord, or else there ARE going to be some very BAD Judgment Seat of Christ consequences! God knows that His people don't need more spiritual pampering! Far too many are already living their spiritual lives like thin-skinned, butterball, 'snowflakes'!
A LOT OF God's shepherds need to 'grow a pair'! A lot of God's church 'leaders' need to stop 'leading' and go back to the beginning and RE-LEARN the Truths of Scriptures...and then RE-TEACH them with authority as one who really knows what he's teaching is biblical Truth...and NOT spiritual suggestions!
Brethren, regardless of what many of today 'wise' Bible teachers try telling you...true biblical love is telling/teaching God's people what they need to hear...and NOT what makes them feel good about themselves or their lukewarm, lackadaisical spiritual lifestyles!
I could give you MANY examples of TOUGH LOVE in the Bible. Here's just one example from Yeshua Christ Himself! (SIDE NOTE: Christ is speaking to His Followers Which is supposed to be us! These words of Christ are NOT directed at LOST people!
Matthew 10:32-39 ---- Every (Believer) who acknowledges Me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before My Father in heaven. But every (Believer) who denies Me here on earth, I will also deny before My Father in heaven. “Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword. ‘I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. Your enemies will be right in your own household!’ “If you love your father or mother more than you love Me, you are not worthy of Me; or if you love your son or daughter more than Me, you are not worthy of Me. If you refuse to take up your cross and follow Me, you are not worthy of Me. If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for Me, you will find it.
John 14:23-24 ---- If any (Believer) loves Me, they will keep My word; and My Father will love them, and We will come to them and make Our abode with them. He or she who does not love Me does not keep My words;
Shepherds, start teaching your sheep what they NEED to hear! Quit 'avoiding' teaching the 'tough love' words of Scriptures because you're 'afraid' you'll offend the sheep! Show the sheep that you truly love them MORE than your career, your family members, and your church and/or denominational 'buddies' BY SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE!
