I know there are a LOT of Believers in the Church who are desperate to see signs and wonders happen. Sorry Brethren, it is just NOT going to happen....unless it is FALSE end times signs and wonders. We live in a Church Age where Believers have all the completed Church revelations that the Lord intended for the Body of Christ. Those early Church Believers did NOT have this spiritual luxury. And because today's Believers have the completed Word of God, the Lord expects....NO DEMANDS....that His children WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT!!!!
Brethren, the Scriptures tells us that the Lord has given His Church everything pertaining to godliness in His written Word. The Scriptures also tell Church Believers that the written Word of God (which IS inspired by God) IS profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, (so) that the Believer may be complete, equipped for every good work.
Brethren, right there it is! Nothing in this verse tells the Believer that they NEED a tongue gift or a prophesy gift to complete their walk with the Lord.
And just to SHOW the Church that the WRITTEN WORD of GOD IS sufficient for EVERY Believer in the Church Age the Apostle Paul told his friend Timothy......2 Timothy 3:14-15 -----But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ.
