This is a RE-DO of one of my podcast from last year on the topic of the importance of learning the TRUTHS of God's written Word. I did a little 'tweeking' on the podcast topic. If you love truth...especially God's Truths...you will enjoy these podcasts.
Now, I am NOT making a claim to having a 'handle' on ALL the Truths of God's written Word...HOWEVER...I do know a LOT of God's Truths. That's because I have been a serious student of God's written Word for over 40 years. (Anyone who studies a topic or idea for 40 years will just naturally a lot about that topic or idea!) Sadly, I know that a lot of Believers out there in Christendom are not being taught many of the Truths of God's Word these days. Now, one reason for that is that many of God's people are spiritually 'comfortable' living their Christian lives 'feeding off' the 'milk' of God's Word week after week...month after month...and year after year. Another reason why so many of God's people are ignorant of many of the Truths of God's Word is because their shepherds don't know their Scriptures very well themselves! You see, KNOWING and then TEACHING ALL OF the Truths of God's Word for the Church...requires a man of God to love the Lord and His Word more than life itself!
2 Timothy 4:1-5 ---- I solemnly urge you Timothy, in the presence of God and Yeshua Christ, (who will someday judge the living and the dead when he comes to set up his Kingdom: To preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. For a time is coming when God's people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths. But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.
