Another consequence of having churches so full of biblically ignorant Believers is that anyone can come along and teach whatever they want to the sheep....and the sheep do NOT have a clue IF what they are teaching is biblical or not! You see, you can't confront someone for teaching biblical untruths....IF you yourself do not know what the Truths of God's Word are. I see so many parallels between today's secular liberals and many of today's Christians. Secular liberals do NOT want to know what truths of a story are. They would rather go with narrative that makes them feel good. Or worse yet, share what makes their listeners feel good....even IF it's a lie! It's the same way with many in the Church. Many in the church do NOT want to know the Truths of God's Word. They would rather hang onto those spiritual beliefs that make them feel good...then to know and accept what IS biblically right. And sadly, just like secular liberals....most in the church are not willing to accept correction. Most Believers are NOT interested in sound doctrine. And just like secular liberals, many in the church are NOT open to the facts. They are happy believing a lie! Sadly, I know of many Church leaders who have taught the Scriptures for many, many years...who have yet to teach even half of the verses in the New Testament Church Epistles! My friend, those type of Bible teachers are NOT church leaders who are properly equipping the saints!
