In Episode 36  Kelli Soika & Lynn Morstead talk about one of the 4 P's in community (Pets, Parking, Parenting and Participation). "Participation" is on their minds today. 

They ask themselves lots of questions about participation during the formation stages of a community. Not as many answers as usual, so your thoughts in an email (info@cohousinghouston.com) or a comment on our blog post would make this a richer dialogue. Here are some of the questions they muse on:

• We are participating at different levels - will that stay the same when we move in?
• How can we broaden participation?
• Are we creating "cultivated rose" gardens vs. "wild rose" gardens that may be more durable in a storm?
• How do we help those who feel intimidated by what appears to be a high bar for when they are inexperienced?
• What can we do to prevent those with a heavy load from burning out?
