Today’s guest on the Local Government News Roundup’s Well Travelled Executive Series is Rachel Brophy, who started her career in the public sector in South Australia in the mid 2000s.
Since that time she has held leadership roles in professional bodies and councils in three states, most recently concluding a term as CEO of Douglas Shire Council in north Queensland.
Rachel joins Chris Eddy for a frank and sometimes confronting conversation about the challenges she has faced along the way, including leading an organisation and community that was dealing with the unprecedented impacts of ex-TC Jasper.
