While we commonly celebrate annual holidays like Christmas and Easter, these celebrations aren't explicitly mentioned in the New Testament. This episode delves into daily and weekly responsibilities in the context of the Leviticus text, emphasizing their significance for contemporary believers.

In Leviticus Chapter 24, we find a significant distinction between the practices of the Old Testament and those followed today. Beyond the seven annual feasts observed in the Old Testament, there were other responsibilities laid out for the Israelites. These responsibilities help us understand our obligations beyond gathering for worship on Sundays.

Seven Annual Feasts: In the Old Testament, there were seven annual feasts: Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Feast of Weeks (Pentecost), Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, and Feast of Tabernacles (Booths). Ongoing Connection with God: The passage regarding the maintenance of the lampstand and table of showbread in the Tabernacle highlights the importance of ongoing daily and weekly dedication and connection with God. These duties symbolize the continual presence of God in the midst of His people, serving as a reminder in the holy place of the Tabernacle.
4. Reflection of Modern Duties: Our contemporary Christian duties include daily meditation on God's Word, doing God's will, continual prayer, and regular fellowship with other believers. These are not limited to Sunday worship but require ongoing commitment throughout the week.

The message in Leviticus Chapter 24 and the New Testament encourages believers to have daily and weekly commitments beyond just attending Sunday worship. Just as the Israelites maintained daily and weekly obligations, we must ensure an ongoing connection with God and fulfil our duties continually. Neglecting these responsibilities may result in spiritual weakness, hindering our growth as believers.
