Responding to the Word – Part Two. (Matthew 13: 22-24)
I. Thorns
Let’s consider the 3rd of 4 possible reactions to the seed of the word and it is revealed in verse 22.
Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
(Matthew 13: 22)
Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.
(Luke 8: 14)
