The Corinthians who Paul is writing to see themselves as superior. They are wealthy and living like kings. They are part of the world. Paul seeks to remind them that it is impossible to live for the world and God at the same time. He contrasts their life with his own as an apostle: someone who is suffering for his faith just as Jesus did. So what does it mean for us to have humility? Seek out our weakness and discover God's power.
