TBC Lead Pastor Connor Kraus starts our new sermon series today on 1 Corinthians, aptly named, 1 Corinthians. In 1 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul is writing to the church at Corinth and begins by asking that there be no division among them. But what was this division about? They were picking favorite teachers from Paul to Apollos to Cephas to Jesus, which in turn was separating the church into subgroups and not focusing on the Gospel itself. The truth is that there is no reason to be divided if we are all following Christ.
What kind of things do you hold onto that makes you think that you are a "better" Christian than someone else? Those types of things are what most quickly divides us. The church is to be a place where anyone can come to learn of the saving power of Jesus Christ. So, how do you bring unity to the body of Christ?
Connor joins the podcast again after a couple weeks of paternity leave. He sheds some light on the various teachers people were following as well as the amount of people Paul baptized. Oh, and, Teresa and Jason go into their newborn struggle stories in honor of Connor's new baby boy.
