The theme of anger permeates our culture – It’s at the root of the plot of some of our favorite films. It’s the motivation behind the stories that dominate today’s headlines. And it’s what even the most devoted followers of Jesus struggle with at our highest and lowest points. But what if we examine what the apostle Paul said in Romans (Chapter 12, verses 17-21)? What if we acknowledge that God is in control and he’s got your back? It’s what Jesus did. He didn’t retaliate when he was insulted or even tortured. In fact, he asked God to forgive those who harmed him. So the next time someone “wrongs” you, why not do the unexpected thing and surprise them with forgiveness beyond all understanding? It might just be the “miracle” that leads them to Christ.
