Lead Pastor Connor Kraus continues this series with a look at a very destructive emotion – envy. It’s based on desire – a desire for the things outside of God’s blessing. Desire can take a twisted form, looking beyond God's boundaries for us, and we wander into dangerous territory. Consider Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. God had provided for their every need, but Eve desired something (fruit from the Tree of Knowledge) beyond what God allowed. This is Satan’s scheme for us – he’s whispering that God has not provided us with enough – and it’s a scheme that leads to sin and death. When we pray that God gives us the things He thinks we need – His will and not ours – God will answer our prayers. If you seek after God and His kingdom, you will find true satisfaction and fulfillment.
