Connor Kraus continues our series on emotions with a look at one of the most isolating feelings – loneliness. He studies three people from the Bible who experienced deep, painful loneliness – Moses, David, and Jesus. Their truths about loneliness – and their response to it – can teach us how to deal with isolation in our own lives. Moses came to understand that God never leaves us. David teaches us that God can always be found, and through his own suffering, Jesus shows us that God knows our pain. When we draw near to God, experience His grace, and fully commit to our relationship with Christ – we can have comfort knowing that loneliness is temporary. Even if it lasts the rest of our lives, we won’t be lonely in eternity if we have made a decision to follow Christ.
