Description

Connor Kraus wraps up our series on emotions with a look at Weariness. It's more than being tired. It’s a level of exhaustion that reaches beyond our physicality into the depths of our soul. We can look to several things to find relief, but the effect is temporary and superficial. The only true, permanent restoration is an eternity with God. That means we have to accept Jesus as our savior. Becoming a follower of Christ doesn’t mean we won’t experience weariness, but it means we have a Father who has promised us permanent, infinite rest in eternity. For those who feel they are at the end of their rope, know that there isn’t a battle on Earth where Jesus is not with you. But we must shift our thinking to accept that we might feel weariness for a long time. Jesus is telling us to keep going. In those moments, we might see grace and understanding as we see a patient God who has endured (with his own sense of weariness) our disobedience as we turned away from Him.

Jason and Teresa hang around after the sermon to share some further thoughts. Oh, and they play a little game we call "Blue Idioms." We hope it doesn't leave you feeling blue!
