Lead Pastor Connor Kraus continues our Retold series with a grown-up retelling of the story of Daniel and the Lions’ Den. Many of us know the basic story – Daniel’s peers grew jealous. They influenced the ruler, Darius, to enact a law that played to Darius’ vanity but, unbeknownst to him, would also mean the death of his trusted appointee and friend of more than 60 years, Daniel. Darius reluctantly had Daniel thrown into the lions’ den. Miraculously, Daniel emerged the following morning unharmed. As kids, we may have learned from this story that if we’re faithful, God will deliver us. But the lesson for us today is that whether or not God rescues us, we should be faithful to Him.
Connor stops by after the message to go a little deeper into the sermon. Oh, and our new digital media specialist Alan joins in with Jason and Teresa for a little word game.
