Everyone knows the story of Jesus walking on water. Taking place immediately after he fed the five thousand, Jesus withdrew from everyone to the mountains. From there, he prayed and watched over his disciples who had taken to the sea. The sea became rough and the winds raged against them. Jesus then walks out onto the stormy waters and calls out to them with the powerful phrase: "I Am. Do not be afraid." Pastor Jim Congdon brings this story into new light and assures us that Jesus Christ comes to us in the times when we feel the most deserted and alone.
As a special treat for this episode, Jim Congdon himself appears in both our pre-sermon and post-sermon discussion. Oh, and, Jason brings up the incredible rescue that happened in Thailand only a few years ago.
