Lead Pastor Connor Kraus continues our “Retold” series with a grown-up retelling of the story of Zacchaeus, the Tax Man. Many of us know all the details of the story in Luke 19 - Zacchaeus climbed up a tree to see Jesus. Jesus asked to join Zacchaeus at his house that evening. Zacchaeus pledged to give to the poor and any of those he had extorted. Then Jesus announced to the crowd that Zacchaeus was a child of Abraham. The plot is fairly simple, but the lesson for us today captures why having a faith like Zacchaeus’ can change our lives forever.
