What is God Asking of you specifically to change about yourself this Advent Season. Perhaps you have never looked deeply into your own imperfections. Ways about yourself you chose not to look at, think about over coming, and changing for the better. When we look deep within, we find our darkest self. We need to look at it, in order to overcome the bad examples, blind spots, imperfections, we have taken into our very lives. It is as if, God wants us to become better examples, he wants to transform his people and when we say yes to the deep cleaning of our dirty souls we may be surprised at how ugly we are without this correction from God. How ugly are the warts we carry instead of going to the doctor and burning them off, we get to burn them off by an honest confession, a real heart to heart with God. Our daily weekly monthly examination of conscience is a good start in kicking off this process. We have to be able to look at ourselves straight in the mirror and say we don't like what we see. Until we do this small act of being strait forward we cannot begin this important process of power washing away the dirt, the grime, the filth, the deception, we have experienced during the period of our life time.
Letting God in, so that he can begin this deep cleaning, is a process that needs to happen in order to be free of the film clinging to our very soul. Look at your soul as a filter. It carries within itself the good, the bad, the beautiful, the unknown to others, all of it God sees, and God wants your soul to be purged completely of every sinful behavior seen, unseen, deliberate, mistaken. When all of this is removed from us God can begin again to work his master piece in us that frees us to live a life in Him that is worthy. Are you willing to fillet your soul open this Advent, for Christ? For the sake of your soul and your souls eternity? If your answer is an unwavering yes, know that God is very pleased that you care so much to see what your soul looks like, that you are allowing him in to deeply cleanse every wound created by sin.
Sin is like a pocket of pus, it needs laceration, it needs to be disinfected, it needs an antibiotic to help heal from infection, it needs care, so it is the same with our soul, we cannot neglect the fact that each and everyone of us has one soul. It is unique to God, it is unique with the one person you share it with. Our soul needs Christ, our soul needs our Creator, without Christ, without our soul, we would be lost and damned, fortunately we have a soul, fortunately most of us have Christ, and are given several opportunities throughout the day, to understand the soul given to us, and we need to be aware that we are instructed by God, to keep it healthy. We keep our soul healthy by acknowledging its very existence, working within the scope we can of keeping it clean, and relying on God as we surrender our life to him, that he will possess our very soul when we give him complete access to our life, our love, and our truth. No matter what has happened to us, good, bad, indifferent, God knows our story. He makes us orderly. When He disciplines us it hurts us enough so that we do not make the same mistake twice. Come to Jesus, all of you, who seek the divine truth, a Savior awaits your arrival.
