Description

What is an entire morning devoted to God, look like for an average Christian? I would dare to say their feet do not touch the ground before they get out of their bed each morning, until they finish a prayer of thanksgiving to God. They fast, they devote themselves to God through the recitation of select prayers chosen, most important,  the Divine Office.  These morning and evening prayers unite us to all Christians, all over the world , always recited at the same time every morning and every evening.
(Divine Office. Org )  The word Catholic, means universal, and we unite ourselves with Christ and all of our brothers and sisters around the world, every single day we choose to begin it in prayer.  We have a powerful tool blessed by the priest that we use to protect us from all evil.  We pray a different decade each day using one of the four mysteries of the sorrowful, joyful, glorious, and luminous mysteries.  They each reflect Christ life from birth to death, and death to life, into all eternity. We purposely take the time to make time and invite God into our life through these prayers.  And as Christians Christ has given us life, and all of himself, and for those reasons and so many more, he is remembered with utmost respect and reverence daily, as a reminder of every blessing he has ever shown.  We as Christians fill of mind, heart, body, and soul, full of his truth, with so much to give.  And we were meant for this time and this purpose to bring HIM closer to our brothers and sisters, through our love and service.  And even before this day begins.  We purposely choose to attend holy mass at church just  like all of our brothers and sisters, we are there for a reason, and that is to learn the word of God, so that the word can take deep root within us.  And so we are attentive to HIS word being read by one of many lectors/ministers who are also involved in the ministry of serving the church in many different capacities.  After the lector finishes the daily readings, the priest of the church steps forward to read the holy gospel.  Following the gospel, we receive a prepared homily/an explanation of the gospel and first reading.  I usually like to close my eyes during that time in that way nothing is distracting me from receiving the entire message of God into my heart and mind.  It is important to reflect deeply in that moment, for the Lords message, is our daily food and drink as we move onward within our Lords presence.  Depending upon where you are in your walk with Christ, you may be a beginner, and you may be hungering and thirsting for Christ in a huge way, your life may have been starved for the goodness that is the Lord.  And our Lord feeds his flock choicest foods that will strengthen them for the duration of their life journey.  After all we are all children of Christ, life time followers, longing to hear his voice, longing to follow HIM forever.  And we can and we will for this I am certain.  As I grow into the mature woman of faith, you too can grow into the mature man of faith that God had intended, all distractions from him in your life time will fall to the way side and you will be able to pick up the pieces and begin again, but this time, begin better.  Christ wants us to be the best person we can in, with, and for HIM.  This is the time to delve into the most important relationship that will bless all the others and when we place God in the forefront of our very lives miracles begin to happen in individuals and in the world.  I think we are living in a time in the history of our Lord where our brothers and sisters need to see Christ again in everyone.  That crossroad is here, and we just need to be good stewards of Christ and set this world on fire with HIS love.  Love will always be the answer.  Love will always heal the wound.
