Today we recognize the birth of our Holy Mother. We as Catholics pray to her daily for her intercession in our life. We know what we were taught in our youth and hold onto Mary very dearly in our hearts to help us through the trials and tribulations of life. Mary is our Mother too. We can pray to her and we know that our prayer will be given to her son on our behalf. In Mary there is certainty, Mary is concrete in interceding on the behalf of her son. Concrete in helping us to remain on the right path that is with her son. To remain close to Mary is to remain close to her Son. There is no confusion, no hesitating, no division, when we walk with and pray to our holy Mother. The power of Mary is above the power of the devil. She crushes him with her heel, Mary intercedes always for the faithful. And those that are drawn to her know that her powerful intercession is necessary in fighting off the evil entering into the hearts of Gods children. Whether they realize it or not, the devil is out to deceive, to lie, to destroy family life. We stay close to our Mother for this exact reason because the war for souls is real, the devil deceives the weak and our holy Mother empowers the strong in faith. Never be weak, never choose the darkness, for it will swallow and devour your soul that is truly precious in the eyes of our Mother. Never miss the opportunity to be purified through a good honest confession, with a priest you fully trust. That confession gives us the clean slate we need to stay close to God and to stay close to our treasured loved ones. Other Gods will in the end destroy the soul that strays from God, from the truth and you know what to look for when the evil one wins, he comes to destroy families. Like any good mother, our Blessed Mother protects all of us from the defeat of Satan and his minions. If we are found weak in our faith, we will stray from our self, our ability to be strong will weaken, and Satan will have a field day with us. Be cautious my brothers and sisters, be smarter than the evil one. Stay on guard and guard the very soul given to you at birth from God. Our body, our dirt bag, will die and our ashes will return to the ground made of dirt, as we are, and our soul will go back to Jesus. Be sure that you invest in your soul. Because when God does come back for you one day, you want to be sure it is pure enough to keep. So examine your conscience daily. Pray the Liturgy of the Hours, both morning and evening everyday, its the best way to fight off all evil that the devil himself is trying to bring to the surface destroying everything beautiful in its path. Pay very close attention to this warning. We can either be sinful men and women or be strong in faith, family, formation, throughout our very lives. The choice we choose determines who we are and what our final outcome in life and death will be. Choose wisely, abandon foolishness and embrace your cross. We all carry one, look deep within yourself and see what type of cross you carry and do something with that cross to honor Mary today on her special Feast Day. Get to know her, she will convert your heart and soul and your life will be a life abundant in great grace and in great truth. May every soul who reads these words be drawn ever closer to our Mother Mary who is so full of grace, grace you today in her mantle of love.
